Welcome to our website
Bruny Island District School is the southern most school in Australia. Surrounded by the school’s own farm and surrounding acreages, it is located in a beautiful rural setting in the town of Alonnah on South Bruny. We are privileged to work and learn in a beautiful setting near the beach on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and with a large play area including climbing equipment a newly upgraded oval, a working garden and chickens.

WHAT WE LEARN
Little Penguins and Kinder learning is based on the Early Years Framework — Being, Becoming and Belonging. Prep—6 classes engage with the Australian Curriculum.
OUR OUTDOOR PROGRAMS
The thriving school garden provides a focus for students to learn principles of sustainability and how to grow and care for a food garden.
The Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia) has been taught at our school for approximately six years. As an island community, Bruny has a natural link with the Indonesian archipelago of over 17,000 islands.
There are lots of opportunities to play, explore, climb, dance, sing, make, create, move, share, watch and listen in our birth-4 programs.
